With a background in tradional painting, Carolyn has since explored photography, graphic design and digital painting. Most paintings in her collection begin with reference photographs. Using digital technology, she paints using a digital paint brush using traditional techniques of acrylics, watercolors, oils, pastels.
Works can then be put on various media….canvas, paper, posters, etc. When Carolyn has a piece prepared and stretched on canvas for a showing, that is the ORIGINAL. When it sells, no other canvas editions will be available. However, please feel free to order images in cards, posters, matted prints, etc.

My work is varied but the most well known are the shell paintings and seashore art. Using my photography as the basis for my artwork, I go into my magical, digital, art studio and paint the light and textures as I feel them. Yes, my work is digitally created as I use a stylus as my brush using any media of my choosing. Sometimes I work in watercolors, sometimes acrylics or oils.....or a combination! Works on canvas are considered originals and will not be resold. However, reprints are available in framed or matted reprints in the size of your preference.
Although my specialty is seashore art, I am broadening my artistic horizons into other areas. You will find some work representative of the Southwest, Still life, Abstract, and Landscape Art. Try as I might to stick to one thing...........the artistic pull to have fun and experiment is just too strong. Although not a native, I am a Texan by choice! Living on the South Texas coast, I am continually inspired by the colors and textures of coastal living.
Trained in traditional painting, I am now using Digital painting as an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digital canvas, and stylus. As an artist, I use painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer.
Although my love for living on the coast is evident, you will find a wide range of creative pieces that also include abstract art. Thank you for taking the time to view my work
